Laughter - Gratitude Day 14

Writer: Shari MeeksShari Meeks

Laughter is the best medicine. Sometimes laughter with a good friend is the only medicine strong enough to pull you out of a slump. Emotions are a gift from God, where He gave them to us as way for us to communicate, interact, and know how to respond in various situations.

The bible teaches us that there is a time and a place for laughter (Ecclesiastes 3:4) and that cheerful heart keeps us healthy(Proverbs 17:4).

Today I am grateful for laughter. I am grateful for the hilarious, gut aching, belly laughter with friends and family.

And I am thankful for the gentle laughter of a soul satisfied by something gone right.

Have you experienced laughter that heals your soul? Think on those moments in your life where the Lord has brought you out of a slump with laughter with a good friend, or even the sweet laughter of a child. Thank the Lord for emotions today, specifically laughter and ask Him to make you giggle a little today.

Laughter really is the best medicine.
